Mon Pro.
A GCSE science service where pupils sit full papers online, a teacher marks every answer, and parents get a report they can act on.
Where it started
School reports say "working towards" and little else.
MonPro gives families a full paper marked by a teacher, and a report that shows where the marks went and what to practise next.
What we built
One service, three kinds of user.

The pupil's desk
Their next paper, what to practise this week and their latest report.

Results and the mark book
A grade for each science against their goal, and the topics losing the most marks.

The report
Score, practice grade, the teacher's comment and marks by topic.

The parent's desk
Book papers, choose one for each child and read every report.

The marking desk
The teacher works through a queue, marks each answer, writes the report and publishes it.
The free science check
Five questions anyone can try before signing up, marked on the spot.
From start to finish
From booking a paper to knowing what to revise.

The choices behind it
Why it works the way it does.
A teacher marks the papers
Full papers are marked by a person, not automatically, because that judgement is what families pay for.
She runs it without us
Papers, pages and learning resources are edited in the admin, with no code.
Tested before every release
Automated tests cover sign-in, subscriptions, reminders and emails, and the main pages are checked on phone, tablet and desktop.
What changed
How it's going.
Alex's sister runs MonPro herself. She doesn't have a technical background, and she still updates papers and pages on her own. She says it's easy to use and easy to understand, and that parents love the reports.
